In yet another testament to this trend, Plarium has partnered with Mattel and Universal Products and Experiences in order to bring the Masters of the Universe franchise to its hit game. Starting November 25, RAID: Shadow Legends are able to begin working toward obtaining Champions based on He-Man and Skeletor, two of the most iconic characters from Mattel's sword and planet-themed series.
How To Unlock Skeletor in RAID: Shadow Legends
In order to add Skeletor to their Legendary Champion roster in RAID: Shadow Legends, players need to participate in a free loyalty program, a common format for such limited-time releases. Specifically, obtaining Skeletor requires logging into the game on seven separate days before December 25. As for the Champion himself, the RAID: Shadow Legends rendition of Skeletor is said to wield potent buffs and debuffs, thus being designed to shine in a support role.
How To Unlock He-Man in RAID: Shadow Legends
Meanwhile, He-Man is exclusively obtainable via RAID: Shadow Legends' Elite Champion Pass (ECP). He can be unlocked as the final battle pass reward until January 25. However, due to the way the ECP progression is structured, the last day to enroll into the battle pass will be December 25. That's also the deadline for joining the basic battle pass version, which is available to all players free of charge. While this Champion Pass variant doesn't come with the defender of Castle Grayskull, it does include a He-Man-themed avatar as one of its rewards for completing daily quests. Plarium says that its version of He-Man was designed as a devastating attacker who can overwhelm any opponent.
The newly launched promotion marks the gacha RPG's second high-profile collaboration of 2024, arriving around 10 months after RAID: Shadow Legends crossed over with Monster Hunter. Prior to collaborating with Capcom, Plarium also partnered with Universal Games and Digital Platforms in order to bring the titular heroine of Xena: Warrior Princess to its popular game back in November 2023. The company's recent track record indicates that even more RAID: Shadow Legends crossovers could be in the pipeline for 2025.
