Twitch streamer QTCinderella got banned on the platform recently, but was unbanned after 41 minutes. Apart from streaming, QTCinderella is known for hosting Twitch events featuring various streamers, including the annual Streamer Awards.

This year's Streamer Awards is currently facing some controversy as many people questioned the fairness of the nominations. QTCinderella also admitted that she's been having internal struggles while organizing the event, even hinting that this might be the Streamer Awards' final year. In order to fund the event, QTCinderella made a new Twitch channel called QTEvents, where she livestreams her YouTube videos all day, and encouraged her followers to keep the stream open to help her farm ad revenue. This move also didn't sit well with QTCinderella's critics, who claim that she's scamming people.

Why Was QTCinderella Banned on Twitch?

Just a day after QTEvents started streaming, both the Twitch channel and QTCinderella's main channel were banned from the platform. When Twitter user StreamerBans announced it, many people assumed that it was because QTCinderella was farming ad revenue using a different channel. However, the streamer quickly debunked the claims, clarifying in a tweet that Twitch banned her because QTEvents showed her old YouTube video featuring an explicit Omegle clip. This was also backed up by her boyfriend, YouTube streamer Ludwig Ahgren. As such, QTCinderella's Twitch account was quickly unbanned after 41 minutes, according to StreamerBans.

Twitch prohibited the streaming of Omegle on the platform. Twitch streamer Classify was banned for the same reason.

Many fans were relieved that QTCinderella was able to get both of her accounts back. Some also joked that they felt "a rollercoaster of emotions" after seeing the streamer get unbanned so quickly. Since then, the QTEvents channel has been offline, and QTCinderella hasn't addressed if she will continue farming ad revenue on her alternate channel.

This year's Streamer Awards is set to happen on February 17, which will be hosted by QTCinderella and popular streamer Pokimane. The awards include Streamer of the Year, Breakthrough Streamer, and recognitions for specific gaming genres. Visibly missing is the Best Valorant Streamer category, which drew some controversy last year because people were upset that Kyedae won.
