The PlayStation Store's Summer Sale is on RIGHT NOW. As always, thousands of games are discounted, covering pretty much every genre imaginable. If you are like me, scouring through the available titles is both exhilarating and exhausting, and the store's custom search capabilities only help to an extent.
While it is possible to search by genre, the PS Store only presents limited options, and one of the most popular themes/concepts (open-world) is not part of that selection. So, to help make it a bit easier to track down which PS5 open-world games are part of the Summer Sale, we have put together a comprehensive list. Some of the best PS5 open-world games are discounted, too.
Just a few notes:
Semi-open-world games are included. Not everyone might agree that these projects qualify, but I figured it is better to have an extra game rather than one missing.
Depending on your region, the sale might end on August 14 (or earlier). That said, the PS Store Summer Sale should end on August 13, 2025, PDT. Still, do not leave any purchases until the last minute.
