In April 2023, Chrono Odyssey's social media accounts began to share facts and concept art about the game, as well as occasional clips of gameplay. Much of the shared work teased the idea that players will face brutally strong enemies that will require teamwork to take down. In May, the first gameplay trailer for Chrono Odyssey was released, and it looked particularly ambitious.
