Classic PS2 Game Leaked for PS5

Classic PlayStation 2 game Legacy of Kain: Defiance has been leaked for PS4 and PS5. Legacy of Kain: Defiance is the final entry in the vampiric action-adventure series from Silicon Knights and Crystal Dynamics. It earned somewhat mixed reviews at the time of its release, but there are many fans who hold it in high regard as one of the best entries in the franchise.

The Legacy of Kain series started in 1996 with Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, which features the titular vampire Kain as the main playable character. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver is the follow-up and stars new character Raziel, who returns for Soul Reaver 2. Kain is the main character of the fourth game, Blood Omen 2. Legacy of Kain: Defiance makes both Raziel and Kain playable, which makes it a particularly exciting entry for franchise fans. Legacy of Kain: Defiance is readily available on PC, but has not been available to console gamers for two decades. Luckily, it seems that might be changing in the very near future.

Aspyr releases its first patch for Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, along with the patch notes detailing improvements to the games.

As spotted by Gematsu, Legacy of Kain: Defiance has received a rating for PS4 and PS5 in Taiwan. Typically when this happens, it doesn't take long at all for the game to pop up on the PS Plus Premium catalog, and so fans can expect that to happen at some point soon. It won't be featured in the PS Plus Premium June 2025 update, but perhaps it will come in July or some other time later this year.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance is Coming to PS4 and PS5

When Legacy of Kain: Defiance comes to PS4 and PS5, it will mean that the whole series is playable on one console. Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 are already available through PS Plus Premium, while the Soul Reaver games were remastered in a collection that dropped just last year for multiple platforms. Assuming Legacy of Kain: Defiance is truly coming to PS4 and PS5 soon, franchise fans will be able to play the entire series from start to finish, which is highly convenient and very much appreciated.

Those that don't want to wait for Legacy of Kain: Defiance to come to PS4 and PS5 can already play through the series on PC. Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain is only on GOG, but Blood Omen 2 and Defiance are on both Steam and GOG.
