Members in the Premium tier of PlayStation Plus can play a brand-new July 2023 game for a limited time, as a trial for Ed-0: Zombie Uprising is now available to subscribers. PS Plus Premium users get some additional benefits over the Extra tier, as gamers in this category can play select PS1, PS2, and PSP titles at no extra cost.
PS Plus Premium members also get access to time-limited trials, allowing them to play a game for a set number of hours. This feature lets users try out titles for the given period, giving them hands-on experience with the opening sections of the game. Sony regularly updates the list of trials available to PS Plus Premium subscribers, and Ed-0: Zombie Uprising is the latest addition to this catalog.
As reported by Push Square, PS Plus Premium members can play Ed-0: Zombie Uprising for up to three hours at no extra cost. Ed-0: Zombie Uprising officially released on July 13, so players can try out a brand-new title as a part of PS Plus Premium. Gamers should note that this timer will start upon launching the application, so they need to close the game from the PS5 menu to stop the countdown.
Ed-0: Zombie Uprising is a roguelike action game in which players take on hordes of zombies as a samurai, ninja, or sumo-wrestler. Given that it's a new release, Ed-0: Zombie Uprising doesn’t have many reviews from critics at the moment. However, its rating on Steam is currently sitting at Mostly Positive, so it may be worth it for PS Plus Premium users to check out. Three hours is also a reasonable amount of time for fans to form an opinion on the game.
The duration of the trial varies between titles, but many offer two to three hours of gameplay. On the other hand, some PS Plus Premium trials allow users to play for up to five hours, while others only offer one hour of playtime. Hogwarts Legacy is probably the biggest outlier, as its PS Plus Premium trial lets fans play for just 45 minutes.
While these trials are time-limited, PS Plus Premium subscribers get to play a bunch of new titles every month as a part of the catalog refresh. PS Plus Extra and Premium members can play It Takes Two, Sniper Elite 5, World War Z, Undertale, and more this month, with Gravity Crash Portable, Twisted Metal, and Twisted Metal 2 only available to Premium users.
