The next update to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus will see the departure of Digimon Survive alongside six other games. PlayStation Plus updates usually come twice a month. One update happens at the beginning of the month, and the second update comes in the middle of the month.

The first PS Plus update in any given month always happens on the first Tuesday. That's when PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim the next free games that make up the Essential tier offerings, which are also available to Extra and Premium tier subscribers. The free PS Plus games for November 2025 will be available on Tuesday, November 4, and consist of EA Sports WRC 24, Stray, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator.

PS Plus Adding a Classic PS2-Era Fighting Game

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will soon be able to play a classic PS2 fighting game with unique and innovative game modes.

After November 4 comes and goes, the next date that PS Plus subscribers will want to circle on their calendars is November 18, as that's when the Extra and Premium tiers will get updated. On that day, seven games will be removed from PlayStation Plus, with Alternate Jake Hunter: Daedalus - The Awakening of Golden Jazz, Battlefield 5, Digimon Survive, Football Manager 2024 Console Edition, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Synapse, and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes all getting the boot that day.

List of PS Plus Games Leaving Soon

  • Alternate Jake Hunter: Daedalus - The Awakening of Golden Jazz (PS4)
  • Battlefield 5 (PS4)
  • Digimon Survive (PS4)
  • Football Manager 2024 (PS5)
  • Like a Dragon: Ishin! (PS4, PS5)
  • Synapse (PSVR2)
  • Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes (PS4)

Seeing Digimon Survive removed from PS Plus may be especially disappointing for subscribers, as the franchise is currently enjoying somewhat of a moment. The newly-released Digimon Story: Time Stranger has proven to be a big hit commercially, with big player count numbers and a high user score rating on review aggregate site Metacritic. Time Stranger's release has increased interest in the Digimon franchise in general, and so it's safe to say that some may have a new interest in playing Digimon Survive through PS Plus.

For the uninitiated, Digimon Survive combines visual novel and tactical RPG elements, with player choice having an impact on the narrative. Digimon Survive reviews were more "mixed" than Time Stranger, but it still has its fans and is worth a playthrough. The issue is it takes an average of 30 hours or so to beat the game, so PS Plus subscribers are running out of time to play before the game is removed from the service.

Moving on a map in Digimon Survive

New games will be added to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus on the same day that Digimon Survive is removed, but it's hard to say if any Digimon titles will be a part of the new additions. More information on that front should come to light in the weeks ahead.
