PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members can look forward to 10 new games joining the service in July 2025. This month's PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup is rather strong, as it includes not only a day one release, but also one of the most critically-acclaimed games of the decade so far.

Sony's PS Plus subscription service is split across three tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. While PS Plus Essential members receive a rotating lineup of monthly games to claim and keep with an active subscription, the Extra and Premium tiers offer access to an expansive library of downloadable titles, cycled in and out every month. PS Plus Premium users get the added bonus of classic PlayStation games and select game trials.

Many PlayStation Plus subscribers wonder how retro games are chosen for the service's Classics catalogue, and a new interview provides some insight.

For the PS Plus 15th anniversary celebration - running from July 1 to August 4 - the service's Extra and Premium tiers have been bolstered with none other than Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red's beloved sci-fi RPG is now available for PS Plus Extra and Premium members to dive in, and Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty DLC is also available with an exclusive 30 percent discount for subscribers through July 23. Additionally, co-op survival crafting game Abiotic Factor's PS5 version will be available on PS Plus Extra and Premium straight away once it launches on July 22.

PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for July 2025

Game Catalog (PS Plus Extra and Premium)

  • Cyberpunk 2077 (PS5, PS4)
  • Abiotic Factor (PS5)
  • Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (PS5)
  • Bluey: The Videogame (PS5, PS4)
  • New World: Aeternum (PS5)
  • Planet Zoo (PS5)
  • Risk of Rain 2 (PS5, PS4)
  • Tropico 6 – Next Gen Edition (PS5, PS4)

Classics Catalog (PS Plus Premium only)

  • Twisted Metal 3 (PS5, PS4)
  • Twisted Metal 4 (PS5, PS4)

The rest of the PS Plus Extra July 2025 lineup, namely Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Planet Zoo: Console Edition, Bluey: The Videogame, Risk of Rain 2, Tropico 6, and New World: Aeternum, will go live on Tuesday, July 15. Those interested in the PS Plus Premium classics catalog, meanwhile, will be able to play Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4 on the same day, which seems to be timed favorably considering the Twisted Metal show's Season 2 is set to drop on July 31.

July looks to be one of the best months for PS Plus in 2025 so far, with even the Essential tier adding Diablo 4 this month. It should be interesting how these additions affect sentiments surrounding the subscription service, given the recent PS Plus cancelation fiasco where some subscribers took issue with the service's "Cancel Auto Renewal" prompt being changed to "Cancel Subscription," thereby making the process seem more confusing than it actually is.
