In a surprisingly captivating mix of genres, players will need to uncover the mystery behind a dying city's problems in Promise Mascot Agency, whilst also building up a business well enough to stave off the threat of Yakuza clans. In this game, players need to recruit Mascots, restore the town, and continue sending money to the matriarch to protect your family.
While the game doesn't by any means pretend to be one that'll keep you busy for weeks on end, it does manage to pack quite a bit of content into its relatively small package. Whether you're in it for the story or a dedicated completionist, knowing how long it takes to beat Promise Mascot Agency will give you an idea of how much time you will dedicate to the game.
Interview: Promise Mascot Agency Devs Talk Mascots As A Species, World Logic, And More
The Best War Games talks to the Kaizen Game Works team about the bizarre world of the upcoming open world mascot management title Promise Mascot Agency.
How Long is Promise Mascot Agency?
Players can expect to complete the main story of Promise Mascot Agency within around 10-15 hours, depending on how much emphasis you place on completing side quests, increasing your Agency Fame Level, and recruiting Mascots. Those looking to complete all objectives and side missions will likely do so in another 10 hours. In total, players will complete a playthrough, with all additional side quests and content, in around 25 hours.
The time it takes to complete the game will largely depend on a couple of factors, namely how quickly you upgrade your truck and unlock fast-travel, and how attentive you are to Mascots asking for help and story dialogue. Unless you are spending your hard-earned money on Mascot Help Items, you will find yourself being pulled into event streams where you will need to help your employees overcome challenges. While these only last a few minutes at a time, it will certainly add up as your team grows and more Mascots are sent out on jobs.
Is There A Point of No Return in Promise Mascot Agency?
With regard to the main story, there is, thankfully, no point of no return in Promise Mascot Agency. With that said, there are two components of the game that do have time pressures. The first of these is the 12,000,000 Yen debt that you will need to pay back, the other is the electoral campaign you'll be supporting in an attempt to overthrow the mayor.
You won't need to pay the debt back in its entirety, but it is important to keep contributing enough to the Matriarch for her protection. As far as the election is concerned, players wanting a successful result there will need to win debates at the various rally points before getting too far into the story.
