Denuvo has to defend itself because otherwise how else would they extract millions of dollars from publishers who think that it's actually making a difference. There's enough content on youtube where pirated copies were ran alongside ones with denuvo and there was anywhere from a 5% difference to 20%. I vowed to never buy any once I lost internet connection and it killed my single player game. Completely egregious
