I would of liked to see Spellforce in this list. All of the Spellforce games have both RPG and RTS elements and some maps could be cleared solely by the Heroes and other maps required an Army. The heroes can be developed as strong singular units or also as support units buffing up all the non hero units. I liked the flexibility. Having a means to progress a hero or even an army and their units is a must in modern games and so Hero units are often the best way. Some RTS like Company of Heroes 3 have Company Units that can be upgraded and level up instead of heroes. This works too. Depends on the game setting.
