I’m a casual Xbox player. I played the 2 open beta dates for Arc Raiders. I was so looking forward to release date. I played quite a few games but 9/10 games I played I called out to other players ‘friendly’. I also stated that I was low rated. It didn’t matter what I said, I was killed each time. This makes so difficult because I’m unable to upgrade my character, weapons or any items. On one occasion I called for extraction when another player appeared. I called out ‘friendly’ again and went to the computer to activate the lift. As soon as I was operating the extraction, the other player shot me dead. What makes that worse, was that the other player didn’t have time to loot and, and that killing me served no purpose.

I've been watching streamers play this game on Twitch. These players have migrated from Call Of Duty and they’ve brought their call of duty mentality of actively searching for other Arc Raider Players. Their first action is to kill other players and then search for items to extract after searching the persons body for loot first.

When you get killed regularly it makes it almost impossible to update your equipment leaving me with only basic equipment. I’ve watched and listened to the person on Twitch undermine the person they killed laughing stating that the person they killed was rubbish at the game. Ive written reviews to the developers of Arc Raiders highlighting the issues that casual players face. I highlighted that there is an actual need for a PVE part of the game. This request goes in answered stating PVE is not needed, but it is needed. This game should be for everyone to have a good experience. I will watch to see if it changes.

When are they going to add PVE to the game. I’m only a casual Xbox player and four out of five times I keep getting killed by other players even when I call out ‘Friendly’. I’ve even been killed when I thought other players were friendly but they killed me as the doors opened prior to the extraction. Being only a casual player I don’t have the skills or weapons to fight other players. It’s a really good game but it’s so frustrating. Adding a PVE means I could play without being intimidated and killed by other players.
