hey, you can do a smith grind while on the rail as well. It doesn't have to be done mid air, as the Skatepedia seems to tell you. You can convert other grinds into a smith grind by doing the up and over motion left or right depending on whether you want a FS or BS Smith Grind. You can also convert into a Smith Stall in the same way.
