Honestly, this is a good genre to but the games are starting to lean towards P2P instead of F2P. A fantastic game like Disney Magic Kingdoms which used to be awesome to play has become a humongous cash grab. You cannot finish most events as a free player and costs of chars has 10x’d in 8 years ($3 to $30 each). It’s a sad tragedy. The Peanuts Snoopy’s Town Tale game is less of a cash grab but fairly boring amid repetitive. There are tons of worthless characters that do nothing to advance the game. Simpsons Tapped Out was such a great game and other than locking a few chars behind the paywall, it never became hard to play as a free player. They never removed any of the “farming” techniques discovered by players.

I'm hopeful that the next gen games will embrace the original F2P concept and we will get some good ones that do not devolve into cash grabs.
