See AllGameStop Buy 2 Get 1 Free Deal is Back, But There's a Catch
I'm a GameStop manager and the buy two get one free deal was exclusive to pro members on a Friday and Saturday. When the new week started on Sunday this past Sunday which was June 29th 2025 is when it was open for anyone. You don't have to be a pro member to get that deal this week. It was a pro-exclusive deal only for 2 days which gave them Early Access to the best possible deals. You got bad information from someone😭
Attempt to Sell PS4 to GameStop Ends in Confusion
Fyi everyone, the membership is now $25 for a whole year. You can get a $10 discount off of that membership if you are buying a brand new copy of a game. We buy broken wireless, first party controllers, games You're not playing anymore, even if they're not in a case, bring them up. We'll take them, Apple Samsung devices I.e phones watches tablets, etc. If it's a system, make sure you have all the parts and it's not bug infested. Ask your nearest GameStop what they take in. My store is actually a retro store so I offer a lot of retro games. My store is pretty much six stores in one compared to most GameStops. But let's continue the benefits of being a pro member. You get trade bumps so everything you trade into us you get 10% extra. PRO weeks.... You get a pretty good trade, bump and discounts that only go to you. You get discounts on currency, digital games, pre-owned all toys and collectibles which includes pokémon cards, trading cards, etc. On top of that, you can get you a free booster pack every month and we ship for free if you're a PRO member. The very good and you can yo use points and coupons towards the service. I have regulars that ship and cancelled their PSA membership. If you're a pro member you gain points with every purchase. Every dollar spent is 20 points into your account. Thousand points is a dollar. No, you can't use it toward any digital or currency, but you get discounts on those currency cards. GameStop is the only retail company that has ever discounted currency. Yes they took that away and we lost a lot of digital players but they brought that back a year ago. Not a lot of employees like to be vocal to customers. I regularly tell active pro members or inactive that you now get discounts on currency and digital games. You can do it all from home. You don't even got to go into the store. I would love for y'all to be a part of my store's regular customers, but y'all may live pretty far away. I would change your outlook on GameStop drastically.
Attempt to Sell PS4 to GameStop Ends in Confusion
I'm a GameStop manager. Yep he's right. Says $70 online. You can get that much if you got all the parts. You have to have one wireless first party controller, HDMI cord, power cord, and the charging cable to the controller. That's how we sell our pre-owned systems. A full package what you would get in a new box. You get in our pre own. If you're missing it then they are to give it to you for free. A controller at GameStop per sony brand new is $65. Pre-Owned is not much less. You might save $5 if you're not a pro member about $7 to $10 if you are a pro member. Just the controller in of itself took the money he was trying to get by selling us an incomplete system. I get there are stores that improperly do trades but this situation the employee was correct. The controller for one is still $65 brand new $60 pre-owned. The $70 was trade credit. I'm guessing cash was probably 55 to 65. Trade amounts change everyday. I've seen him go all the way up to 150. $180 could be a a promo going on that week, but the guy that traded in the PS4 that day maybe went in on the wrong week with an incomplete system. And of course, why would you even try to pay us $5 to take your incomplete system? No, I wouldn't have done it either. I would have suggested to the customer just to take it home and use it as a streaming device or give it to a niece, nephew, cousin, brother, sister, a child that doesn't have a system happens all the time, donate it or bring it back with all the accessories and get the money for it. This is the way.
