See AllFable's Gray Morality System is a Logical Progression from the Original Trilogy
Every time I play a modern RPG that lacks a morality system, I question why a standard feature in years gone by that seems like a no brainer is absent. Usually I just assume the devs are lazy. Whether true or not, I think it's just plain lazy.
Then Playground went a step further and suggested that in this modern age, morality is somehow too nebulous and individual to define. What utter crap, but I suppose it would explain the sad state of the world today.
We all know what right from and it's all based on the mortality found in the Bible. You know not to kill, not to steal, that extra marital sex is wrong etc. Whether people want to admit it or not, we all know right from wrong, even if we ignore it.
So how ground breaking and needed it is for a video game to genuinely come out today and say "oi you nasty degenerates! You want to behave like that? Fine. Here's some devil horns - cos ya know full well you're being nasty!" But no. That would be too controversial in this messed up world of permissiveness and so called "acceptance" lacking any sense of mortality. What a farce 🤦♂
Batman: Arkham Shadow’s Sales Figures Reveal a Potential Path Forward for the Franchise
Ah yes, the path forward is to leave behind a large demographic of the fan base who physically cannot use a VR headset. In this modern age of accessibility features, I can't believe there are studios creating games so many are incapable of playing. I've played the Arkham games since the original in 2009 and I physically can't play Arkham Shadow because I suffer from vertigo - if I play VR, I'm at a high risk of falling over, I feel sick within minutes and am reeling for days. I'm avoiding spoilers to Shadows in hopes it will be ported to a real game platform and not a fad console so many are physically unable to play. But I know fine we'll it's a slim possibility at best.
