Dane Dude, you're literally just outting yourself as someone who hasn't seen any of the game.
You very clearly can't beat it pressing one button. Taking hits will just kill you. The attack button doesn't do any damage at all, unless you build around it, and even then it's weak. You'd struggle to beat even the first act on the easiest difficulty with that.
Your traffic light point doesn't even make sense. It's a case of learning enemy attack patterns so you can dodge/parry at the right time like a Dark Souls boss. They made a turn-based combat system with real-time elements, which is the innovative part.
This reeks of someone who was predisposed to hate the game and watched a single YouTube video about it.
The story is also far from "Disney" btw, no idea where you got that from. Probably a TikTok summing up the game in 14 seconds, which is where all of your information seems to have come from.
Also, not a Sony fan in the slightest. Another weird pull.
8 Games That Are a Masterclass in Storytelling and Gameplay
Anyone claiming Expedition 33's combat system is "1 button" clearly hasn't played it (on anything harder that Story difficulty) and does not understand the combat system at all.
Everyone who has played even 20 minutes of the game knows the combat is an innovation of turn-based RPGs, which involves a lot of real-time reactions and attack pattern learning.
This comment was left by someone who cannot comprehend that a turn-based combat system can be fun and engaging, so I suggest that anyone who hasn't played it yet ignores him and plays it for themselves.
Also the story is amazing, but admittedly not too everyone's taste.
