I get his reasoning but it is flawed. They are Pirates. They live on the same ship 24/7. And they are human. It defies logic to deny them love.

I'm more inclined to believe that the relationships are happening off screen. The interactions between Luffy and Nami, for instance, feels very much lika a relationship. Nobody else on the crew would dare to talk to or treat Luffy the way she does. There are also a few subtle hints about a potential relationship between Robin and Zoro if you pay close attention.

He may keep the relationships off screen for the most part but there are clear signs of them existing even if he refuses to acknowledge it.

I believe Luffy doesn't include himself in that 10. He wants 10 crewmates which actually leaves 2 spots open.

Yamato is out. She is forming her own crew. Most likely she will join the grand fleet.

Vivi is definitely getting 1 of the 2 spots because Imu wants her so joining back up with Luffy for protection is the obvious choice.

And Luffy is nothing if not predictable. There is no way that he doesn't ask Loki to join.

There is room for 2. I believe Vivi and Loki are the choices her.

Also I believe that Luffy didn't not include himself when he said 10. I believe that's the number of people he wanted to recruit which means there are 2 spots for crew on his ship.

Luffy didn't say he was one of the 10. He said he want 10 crew mates. That would mean there are technically 2 openings on his ship. Vivi is obviously going to be one of them because Imu wants her so Luffy will protect her. And there is no way Luffy doesn't ask Loki. There is room for both of them.

Vegapunk is not a crew member. Plus I don't think Luffy counted himself as one of the 10. I really think there are 2 spots on his ship. Which actually makes sense. So Loki and Vivi make sense to fill those spots.

Maybe I'm wrong, but is it possible luffy isn't counting himself as one of the 10. He says he want 10 crew mates. If he isn't counting himself there is room for 2 more on his ship.

I've been under the impression that Vivi will be rejoining them due to Imu the elders interest in her. But I've also said in the past that I believe Luffy will offer Loki a spot on his ship.

If I'm right and Luffy doesn't include himself in that number there is room for both of them. This is the scenario I'm hoping for. But, like I said, I could be wrong.

Honestly, Sanji is a liability. Over and over again it's the same crap. Sanji has potential to be great but he is held back because he is a major perv. The greatest power up Oda can give him would be the ability to ignore women.

Sanji is a perv who struggles around women. Has been since jump. Age aside, Bonney is walking around in a body much older than her age would suggest which makes his reaction no different than his reaction to any other woman.

Anytime a woman is involved he become useless. Its been proven over and over. Everything scene he is in with a woman is cringe. Often they are my least favorite scenes.

Sanji can fight (only against men), and cook, but those are his only redeemable qualities. He is my least favorite straw hat.

No romantic relationships is not realistic. Especially in a damn show about Pirates. This is one thing Oda is doing wrong. Especially when you have already wrote one character (sanji) as a huge perv who can't control himself around woman.

On the other hand until Luffy finds the one piece and defeats the world government a relationship would get in the way and make him more vulnerable.

I believe the relationships are probably there. Behind the scenes. There are signs if you actually look hard enough. He may not flat out admit it or acknowledge it but the signs are there. At least for the Luffy Nami relationship.

I get it about the haki. I do. But his more immediate problem is the time limit on his gear 5. He needs to find or gain a way to use it on a more permanent basis. Seriously his stamina has been terrible forever. If he wants to actually become pirate king and defeat the elders and Imu he has to be able to go for more than a couple minutes at a time in gear 5. It's a far more immediate problem.

According to this article Supreme King Haki only grows as the strength of the wielder grows. If that is true his absolute priority has to be improving his stamina for gear 5.

His death would be a better option for two reasons.

One is his character arc needs it. A devil fruit on a coward won't make him less of a coward. Sacrificing himself to save one of his friends would finally shake that coward label.

The second reason has nothing to do with him. Luffy wants a certain amount of crew. Oda has hinted at several people potentially joining the straw hats. Mainly Vivi or Yamato but there are others such as Bellamy (considering he took part of luffys vivre card, im sure we will see him again. And luffy did offer him a spot on his crew). Right now there is only one spot left in his main crew. Usopps death would open up a spot that I believe could be filled by one of those characters.

Plus he is my least favorite straw hat so my feeling wouldn't be hurt.
