Engel did use haki It was just called something different. Sorry that was forever ago and I can’t remember what they called it in Skype, but it was the same thing as haki. They just called it something different up there. But if you go back and watch Skype, it’ll show you it’ll tell you what it is in fact I’m pretty sure that’s a very first time Luffy ever had to deal with anything Haki wise.
