Everything seems perfect to me, just in the part were Shoto realizes he loves eating it's not just that, but the fact that his life doesn't go all about being a hero and starts thinking more freely about himself, in this case what he most likes, leading to the thought that he finds reassurance in Touya, and praying for him leads him to the thought of his freedom and all, giving more meaning to Touya's death and his impact on Shoto's life.
