Hard disagree. The fact that you couldn't really alter the ending of ME3 based on what you did was the main reason why it was so hated. ME2's ending variations based on choices and affinity is still the gold standard for video game endings. It's baffling that more games haven't adapted it. If you want a set ending without a "checklist" of things to do to get the best ending, watch a movie.
