Completely agree. I think its only getting the hype because you always have to have those people have to be "cool" and "contrarian"! You have people who are so jealous who couldnt stand the popularity of Solo Leveling and the fact that it brought A LOT of new anime viewers. So of course they had to act like they are some superior Manga/Manhwa snobs and say like "Oh, you only started watching anime because of X anime? It doesnt compare to Y!" I saw this same thing with Omniscient Readers Viewpoint. Everyone was talking about it being "Sooooo much better than Solo Leveling!" It wasnt bad...at first. But the artwork was basic, the pacing started out well but became spotty, the story, like the pacing, started well and then went off the rails with the arc switches. I dropped it when it got to muddled.

I couldnt even get through 2 episodes of Frieren...complete snoozefest. Im sure its a decent anime, but not worth the glaze its getting. Of course important sure there will be all the gatekeepers coming to tell me how wrong i am and how i just dont ynderstand anime, even though ive been watching anime and reading Manga since 1984.
