What Final fantasy need to do is not listen to journalists that do not know what they are talking about:)

Final fantasy has always had female leads, or female centric stories. More then just 6 and 13. Here are some examples where the girls story is at times more important regardless who you play as:

FF7 was more about Aerith for half the game.

FF8 Rinoa is equally as important as Squall.

FF9 is more about dagger for the majority of the game.

FFX is more about Yuna for the majority of the game.

FFX-2 is about Yuna the entire game.

FF13, 13-2, 13-3 is about girls the majority of the games.

FF7 remake, and Rebirth is more about Aerith.

Sure we have 15 and 16 with boys story. But other then those two it has been more about the girls. Also who cares? Just make a good game.
