I think that if there was ever a time that we'd get a kotor 3, it's now/the very near future. BG3 shows the viability of classic RPGs, Star Wars is free of EA exclusivity meaning they have to actually try again (if that makes any difference from a crap factory,) and even the little act of epic games giving away the og kotors for free right now introducing the old games to new players with little-to-no barrier to entry.
