I have a backlog of unfinished rpgs going back to ps2 that I will never finish because I don’t remember how to play them and I refuse to grind again. All rpgs better have this option going forward.

Show me how many people actually finish the game. Low Steam player count is a good indicator of actual interest. Gamepass games pad out numbers like bad DLC. Doesn’t mean people actually care about about it. Like shareware before, Gamepass is just today’s try it for free. Million players and can still be a flop.

The animation is not the reason regular people don’t like it. It’s because it twists Spider-Man into something very far from any semblance of Spider-Man. Spidey doesn’t wear shoes, except for Miles Morales. Nearly everybody else is gender and race swapped except for Peter. Sexual orientation stereotypes on display. It feels like a story for Miles, but it makes Peter a token white guy where nearly everybody is more important than the hero. It’s a hot mess of a message veiled as a cartoon using a big name to get credit.

Good list except Veilguard was not a DA game, but another wearing its skin. Also there were not any vibrant characters as you described in the game. Silent Hill 2 felt like a slog with all the extra enemies, but nailed the atmosphere of the original.

Why do we have to make ugly characters today when we are supposed to use them to ESCAPE the world?
