Base building improvement sounds good. Nerfing Goomba stomping, instead of giving the "stompee" a tool to fight back sounds like a lazy way to approach the problem and make the game even less fun. People already have complaints about a lack of end game, and here they go feeding more into the complaint.

So basically the developer is going the opposite direction in terms of both lore and player interaction.
