This is VERY true. It is also the reason Mare was target #2. Sadly Mare was a nice mod. I never used it but the concept and what it did was REALLY NICE because it enhanced the outfits making them look more realistic. You can even wear stuff that didn't exist in the game which is why most people used it. Console users suffered though because they couldn't handle the power of Mare, which is why FFXIV could not do what Mare does right now. They didn't want part of their base to cry (like the black mage mains cried about Picto damage when it first came out in their pod cast).
They should of reverted the blacklist. Nothing they do client side will work because the game is pretty much completely backward engineered at this point so even hiding it in the packets won't hide it in the client. They need to handle it server side or not bother at all.
