See AllOne Piece: Eiichiro Oda Officially Reveals The Next Arc After Elbaf For 2026
Tbf. Oda has claimed to be "nearing the end" for about 15 years now lol. Wouldn't surprise me at all if the series is still a decade away from wrapping up. All depends on how long these coming arcs end up being. Elbaf prbly has an entire year to go (Oda writes his long arcs with similar structures. The big flashback each arc is usually at the end of act 2 so it's safe to say, we still have about 40-50 chapters of Elbaf yet.) Whichever arc will be the final battle will prbly end up being at least as long as Wano. If not longer. (Think Ninja War arc from Naruto).
Either way, if anyone here is anime only...after the announcement of a broadcast schedule change with the anime, I'd highly recommend getting into the manga now. After this week, the One Piece anime is going on hiatus until April and will only air 24-26 episodes per calendar year. However, if you thought that'd improve it's pacing and adapt more chapters per episode...you'd be mistaken. Toei has confirmed that they plan to continue implementing anime-original scenes (just no filler arcs or recaps, thankfully) so the pacing will remain mostly as it has been with Egghead. So it'll take a very very long time for the anime to catch up with the manga. It'll take about 4 years for Toei to adapt Elbaf if they only do one season per year as Elbaf will have prbly around 100 episodes in total
