Idunno man, thematically Deku choosing to save even the biggest bad from the original big bad seems like a very Deku thing to do, and the Hero Armor feels like a very Class 1-A thing to do, while also then opening up the possibility for the Quirkless to also become heroes, maybe in a "You pay it off with hero work a la student loans." Sort of thing.

Well... No, that's sort of just the ending without that last bit. The original ending that Horikoshi planned was for Deku to give Bakugou One For All so that they could both go against the big bad, presumably Shigaraki, but then he decided to use that for the second movie, with the "Huh... Somehow it didn't take." Weirdness.
