3 things. 1. Goku and Gohan were only sparring. 2. Gogeta is made from Goku and isn't a singal character. 3. Frieza attacked Goku and Vegeta whilst they were already tired and worn out from fighting. Also Vegeta had just barely beat him in their sparring match
