Battlefield 2042 already implemented something like this called Battlefield Portal. Not only are you able to play through every setting of previous battlefields, you can even mix and match the settings in the same game mode. For example, you can have all the players be soldiers from WW2, but you’re fighting in a modern day city. You can even have one team be from WW2, and the other team be from the future. It’s pretty interesting.
