“… there’s so much in that world to be explored.”

This was the biggest bummer of Veilguard for me, because there’s really not much world to explore at all. The set dressing is gorgeous until you realize that most of the worlds are just hallways designed to look open.

Dragon Age is by far my favorite game series. I have all of the games, all of the books, all of the comics. And while I enjoyed Veilguard for what it was, it’s a pretty big misstep for the direction of the franchise, a direction that was so definite and intentional that I don’t know if the franchise can recover the magic it once had after this. Which is a shame, because this franchise was so amazing.
