Best Psychological Horror Games For Beginners

I've enjoyed the silent hill franchise and I think the original second game is much easier for a beginner. The remake is much heavier.

Silent Hill f Can't Pull Its Punches Like the Series Has Before

This is exactly the kind of refresh I was hoping to see for the series. Moving the setting to 1960s Japan is a brilliant move, and the whole "beauty in horror" concept they're teasing is so intriguing. It feels like a genuine evolution of the core themes of Silent Hill, that the horror comes from within and can manifest anywhere. I'm keeping an open mind about the new developers and can't wait to get my hands on it.
