It sounds nice, but I can tell you that Drew is not going to live up to his promises. Me and my friends started playing Sea of Thieves from day 1. We loved the game so much, but indeed our daily fun got spoiled (a lot!) By cheaters.

We tried everything. Reporting cheaters, but especially came up with suggestions to make the game cheater proof.

As a professional developer for 20 years I can tell it's not rocket science to prevent cheating. Nevertheless we were ignored for years. No, not entirely true...from time to time we received a forum ban without knowing why. Most likely because they did not want anyone to read that cheaters are ruining their game.

So last year we gave up after playing thousands of hours. And now...all of a sudden they want to do something about it? Perhaps because they started to loose their player base?

Duh...what happens to companies not listening to their customers?...
