Sean Dont know, back then we had a lot of passionate projects. Focus was on creativity, making a good product. Nowadays you get your minimum valid product with focus on demographic checkboxes and clever monetization. As long as they can deceive investors with shiny graphics and excuses why their previous titles flopped (customer's fault of cause) it will continue to go downhill. The big studios bring one flop after the other while indie rises. AAA can't die fast enough.

What was bad back then? I mean, i play for over 30 years now but never noticed the gaming industry to be rotten like now. Maybe nostalgica talking.
