See All5 Nintendo Accessories as Rare as The Switch 2's Carrying Case
I think the official Switch 2 Dock set is right up there. Unavailable at most retailers, restricted to one per owner on the Nintendo store, always sold out. That one is elusive.
The Original Nintendo Switch's Biggest Flaw is Already Happening on Switch 2
Personally I would not use Mario Kart World as a reference for stick drift. MKW by default turns on auto steering, and that particular setting feels exactly like stick drift when in reality it's the game adjusting your path during the race. I have experienced that sensation in MKW, but it went away when I turned off auto steering. I've not had any stick drift issues in Cyberpunk 2077, so for my console anyways, it was a MKW setting, not stick drift. I've played the console every day since launch, so I think I'd know by now if mine had stick drift. Not saying it doesn't exist on these consoles, I'm just saying don't base it on Mario Kart World.
Walmart Switch 2 Pre-Order Page Is Causing Some Confusion
I was able to order one from Walmart thanks to the queue system. I first tried paying with a credit card, but it said my card info was wrong (it wasn't). Paypal worked and got me a confirmation number, so that's the payment method that worked for me. However, Walmart later also charged the credit card, so I had to cancel my credit card for a fraudulent charge. If I'd gotten a second order confirmation, I would have considered keeping the second console, but it was just a second charge without an order confirmation.
Target's website was down for me starting just before midnight. It went back online like 45 minutes late and let me add a console to my cart, but it wouldn't let me finish checkout, it just had errors over and over. Best Buy was late starting and then wouldn't let me add the in-stock console to my cart. Clicking "Add to Cart" did nothing. Eventually BB put me in a queue, but I'd already successfully checked out at Walmart by then, so I ended that line.
It was a mess, but everyone said it would be. Ultimately Walmart handled the launch better than anyone else did.
GameStop Confirms When Its Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Orders Will Go Live
I don't understand why GS is delaying online pre-orders. I can't take off work to preorder in person, and I'll be in a meeting at 11am unable to preorder on my phone. I can't justify skipping the midnight preorders at other retailers just hoping GS will have Switch 2 preorders still available at lunchtime Thursday after my work meeting ends. So they've lost my business for the Switch 2 launch. I'm sure they won't miss it, but they were my #1 pick for preordering before they botched the timeline. I guess it makes sense to have a backup retailer for people who log in too late for midnight preorders, but I really expected a dedicated game retailer to be first in line. I actively try to support these guys, but they keep giving me reasons to buy at other retailers.
Nintendo Comments on Decision to Go With LCD Over OLED Screen for Switch 2
My Switch is always docked. Give me a version without a screen at all lol. I don't need to waste money on an OLED screen I'll never use.
