I seldom grow beets, as a quick trip to Meyer's Market will usually garner me 20 or so around the dock and growing areas, as well as corn, potatoes, and many other utility crops. I agree with your others, having coneflower, mushroom, and morel growing all the time. Corn is just too available to worry about, but I grow wheat and corn to make a batch of moonshine in the brewery barrel.
