Sci Fi is generally social commentary about a logical continuation of some modern phenomena. If you've just been watching space battles, you've been missing the whole point of, well, pretty much everything. Learn to digest the media you consume

Yeah, I'll admit some of the Rose Noble stuff was a little hamfisted in it's writing, but it's 2 cringe minutes at the end of a great hour of TV, if that ruins your enjoyment that's on you "The best stomachs are not those which reject all foods" or whatever Plato said.
