Civ 7 is a passing of the torch. From a time when you would buy an iteration for 40-60$ and play for years. To this absolute disaster. Where everyone is saying "o give it time it's basicly in beta" I'm not a beta tester. I'm a consumer. And this isn't an accident. We will see micro transactions infest and defile this beloved franchise now. We will be offered "premium" fogs of war, and premium user interface upgrades for some meier coin or VC nonsense. We will own nothing and be miserable.
