He would definitely have trouble if Beru sends all the ants at him, but just like Thomas did when he and Jinwoo was about to clash, he literally zoomed through the soldiers and just knocked them aside to get to to Jinwoo; Same difference here with Beru.
Thomas is a National Hunter for a reason and a National Hunter can clear an S-Rank Gate by themselves. If an S-Rank hunter can't clear an S-Rank Gate alone, a National Hunter can certainly do that. Don't forget there are big gaps between ranks. National Rank is faaaaaar above S-Ranks. The best S-Rank hunter is no match for the weakest National hunter. Understand who The Goliath is!
