I mean, respectfully, there was no way there was gonna be an official canon gay couple (with a main character) in a Shounen Jump manga written by a Japanese man in his 30s. We are a long way off from that happening. Ship who you want, of course but just know most Japanese men that may write shounen manga are not gonna actually do that. They only know how to write men, how men feel and how men interact with each other so it's what we end up seeing in shounen manga. We've only recently gotten decent relationship growth/interactions between a male and female lead in a shounen manga (DanDaDan, SpyxFamily). If you want a main canon gay couple, you will have to read BL, shoujo, josei, or even seinen. 🤷🏾‍♀
