Bad choice making this $80 Obsidian. I’m already not buying it because for some stupid reason they still won’t put romance in the game. I used to love Obsidian after POE, but it’s gone downhill since then.

Absolutely is Morten, it’s not a good game at all. There’s far more of the game’s substance that was lackluster than the one scene by Taash that was punitive and insulting. It was a poorly crafted AAA game all around.

If the change is anything like Veilguard, I’m going to be very disappointed. It’s such a tawdry and blatant cash-grab when franchises completely abandon their roots or paper over lore to supposedly entice new fans. The end result is typically what has now become an industry cliche like Star Wars or LOTR, where the fan community becomes extremely divided and entrenched and the franchise ends up petering out. If they’re going for a short-term profit influx, I’m sure that’s a great strategy. However, I don’t know of a better way to sink the long-term success of a franchise than by taking up this kind of strategy. My advice, stick to your roots and don’t do anything radical. If it is anachronistic, it shouldn’t deviate so far as to make your original fans feel like you’ve abandoned their years of time and investment into said franchise.
