I heard that the Switch 2 was going to launch with a NEW Animal Crossing game, and I've since been speculating about what could possibly succeed New Horizons - what environment haven't they done yet, and what could be better than a tropical island? If my info is correct, I'm really curious to see how they attempt to top New Horizons.

I've also heard a tentative date is Match this year, or at least 1st quarter 🤞

This article isn't suggesting that people are supposed to run out and buy a Switch 2 just to have a second save file, just that it's an incidental bonus if you Do happen to buy one, and for some of us, it is pretty game changing - literally 😁
