Releasing on PC and console simultaneously is a terrible idea. This would increase chances there are game breaking bugs, and thus alienating a potential customer, rather than bringing in new ones. The fact of the matter is, a good game is a good game, and if it's good, the right players will find the game. Concerned Ape doesn't need to suck every penny out of his customers like big studios do.
He also stated early in Haunted Chocolatier's development that there's no guarantee the game is EVER released. He doesn't owe any one anything when it comes to developing games. Perhaps this game never even hits console and that would be fine.
