Just get over the embarrassment and eat it now. There’s absolutely zero chance it will be pushed back again. The fact that it was pushed back twice already is extreme enough. Rockstar has given themselves way more than enough time to be sure that when it comes out next November it’s as polished as can possibly be.
According to the Silent Hill games, the town of Silent Hill isn't even supposed to be in the eastern U.S. It's in a mid-west mountain town but the exact state is unspecified.
That movie is terrible and not much about it is canonical.
