It all boils down to poor writing and what seems to be a lack of narrative vision. It hurts to have to say it. The fact that the OG characters have been pushed to the background shows either an unwillingness to showcase them alongside their kids in a meaningful way or a lack of planning around how to incorporate them into this new story. Sealing away Naruto, Hinata, and Sasuke was unwise as a plot device.
