Boy you have completely misrepresented the case. The song, it's licensing and ownership was always in question. Linda was officially credited for Mbube, being used in The Lion Sleeps Tonight, in 2006. Disney wasn't the originator nor the license holder of the song. The song itself was written and re-recorded twice, with The Tokens version being the Song we hear and recognize today. Disney just settled with Linda's family. NO admission of stealing anything, because they licensed th3 Tokens version.
