They are not time sensitive, rather, they can be missed when you progress the main story beyond a point. For this reason i recommend people to explore as much as you can of a given area when you arrive, before moving to the next area the "main quest" is pushing you to.

Eg; when arriving at Acasa Marshes, explore the village and it's immediate surroundings before following up on the Blacksmith lead.
