Very different style of game even if mechanically very similar.

BG3 are for the type of people that loved dragon age origins, legends of vox machina, and see roleplay as primarily what happens plot and story wise.

Solasta is for the type that think story is just the excuse to go dungeon crawling and monster slaying. Both can be a lot of fun, but scratch very different inches.

With all the time shifts, and game play shifts, and time between the games themselves, dragon age has never been good about continuation. We never got the ME treatment. Better to just consider each game as separate.
