See AllNaruto's Successor Anime Is Officially Here, And It Isn't Boruto
So the threshold for a "successor" to Naruto is "the MC is an orphan?" Wooow. These few paragraphs (hesitant to call this an article) doesn't even bother to tell you what the other franchise is about. Basically, it's people drawing power from the "souls" of objects (set in a garbage land with garbage monsters). That sounds way more like the Fullbringers of Bleach than it does Naruto.
As for Boruto, a lot of people never even gave it a chance. They watched 3 episodes and decided it wasn't worthy and have been vocally against it ever since. Funny thing is, Naruto was the same way. Way back when it was releasing the original series, a LOT of people were arguing that ninjas can't be loud and wear bright orange, and that Naruto would fail because it didn't understand anything about ninjas. I think a lot of people wanted Boruto to be on par with Shippuden, but it was never meant to be. Boruto is shooting for Naruto. Now that there's been a time skip, Two Blue Vortex (lame name, I'll grant it) is the one that should be compared to Shippuden. But it's too new to tell yet how that'll shape out.
Anyways, if you're going to do an "article," try writing more than the name of the series you're comparing a beloved franchise to. It might help you realize how bad your argument is.
